The world of mass information, communication and media translation in now in totally sync within our daily lives and routines, through various expansive social media platforms. Over the past decade in particular we have witnessed a massive adoption and integration of social media in our work, rest and play. This has catapulted a new wave of thinking, learning, yearning and indeed absorbing a plethora of data that instinctively creates and new wave of thoughts. emotions or even actions. A definitive new generation of human characteristics is now dawning with real time data proliferation, having a massive impact on our lives with sensory flow in both routine and instinctive behaviour.
As new protocols and ideologies develop over the next generational switch algorithms and AI will be the pivotal drivers in information translation and dissemination. This is fraught with extreme danger as well whilst we continue to evolve and anticipate better technologies to make life easier.
“At a moment of rampant disinformation and conspiracy theories juiced by algorithms, we can no longer turn a blind eye to a theory of technology that says all engagement is good engagement — the longer the better — and all with the goal of collecting as much data as possible” as Quoted by APPLE CEO Tim Cook. Wise words from an extremely talented and indeed inspirational leader of our tech times and we need to take all this on board.
This social media stream cannot stop now but it needs to be managed on level terms with life itself, to ensure we effect the right balance and continue to maintain a sense of normality, transparency and human interaction. The distortion between data and life itself is very real and it’s impact is profound to which we in essence as humans, still need to draw upon historical and mainstream attributes and events, to maintain normality.
